SAGEM confirms its progression in the mobile phones industry with a very significant increase of its market share in Western Europe in the second quarter of 2004. According to the latest results published by Gartner, Inc. (1), SAGEM's market share in Western Europe has increased from 2,5% in the second quarter 2003 to 5,3% in the second quarter 2004. These figures place SAGEM amongst the top six players in the mobile phones market in this region. 'Understanding and meeting our customers' requirements is one of our main objectives. To reach this we have increased our presence in numerous markets around the world, offering a much larger product range.' declared Thierry Buffenoir, Managing Director of SAGEM's Mobile Phones Division. 'This new milestone in its international deployment is for SAGEM an important step forward based on technological, commercial and industrial partnerships.'
