At the beginning of April 2004, SAGEM acquired the company e-Software, installed in the north of France, in Valenciennes. This company publishes, under the XELIOS brand, a broad series of software for access control in corporate computer networks, mainly based on the use of biometric technologies. This range of high performance software with particularly innovative design simplifies the management of the passwords necessary for the secured management of the applications and access to corporate networks and websites. Finally, XELIOS software offers high security levels, economic management for companies and increased comfort for the users and managers of information systems. XELIOS products represent the perfect answer to the significant increase in demand expected in the field of data security and protection by logical access, announced in numerous recent studies. Already specialised in physical access control, SAGEM thus reinforces its know-how in the field of logical access control. The considerable synergy existing between the two fields will allow SAGEM to offer a global security solution to companies. SAGEM is No. 1 in the world in fingerprint-based biometrics, in particular due to its significant activity in the market of identity systems and government applications.
