| SAGEM Monetel has been awarded by EMVCo the EMV 2000 certification for the smart card interface of its EFT20S-P payment terminal. this certification has been obtained within the frame of the new EMV specifications. These specifications will constitute the sole reference standard with which new terminals will have to comply, from April 2004 and on. |

This success spotlights the quality of SAGEM Monetel's equipment and their continuous technological lead. It guarantees customers both a perfect adequacy to their requirements and the conformity with international regulations. Implemented on the EFT20S-P portable terminal, this new capacity will soon be extended to the whole SAGEM Monetel range.
