Arcom has worked directly with UL Inc to achieve a detailed assessment of the entire system including the chassis, PSU, industrial processor board, backplane and Ethernet boards. |
Arcom announced its standard 19' rack mounted industrial PC (APC) has been fully approved (UL file reference is E203067) for applications requiring full UL compliance. Underwriters Laboratories Inc. (UL) is an independent, not-for-profit, product-safety testing and certification organization that has tested products for public safety for more than a century. Arcom has worked directly with UL Inc to achieve a detailed assessment of the entire system including the chassis, PSU, industrial processor board, backplane and Ethernet boards.
The APC system product is a rugged 19' chassis (4U high by 450mm deep), which is CE approved to Residential/Commercial emission and Industrial immunity EMC Standards and FCC approved to Part 15 Class B. The industrial slot PC can be fitted with any Intel Socket370 Coppermine CPU up to 1GHz Intel Pentium III (133MHz FSB). The standard backplane configuration offers 14 expansion slots (8 ISA & 4 PCI & 2 ISA/PCI), however other options are available on request. The APC systems can be supplied pre-installed and configured with standard desktop or embedded operating systems such as Windows 98, NT & XP Embedded, Red Hat Linux 7.2 or even as a base system with MS-DOS. Arcom recognizes the need to supply the best value Intel processor solutions, whilst maintaining product stability and consistent supply. That's why Arcom works closely with its customers to ensure system specification changes are correctly controlled and introduced as a managed process.
