AGILE SYSTEMS COMBINES FIREWIRE & INTERPOLATION FOR HIGH PERFORMANCE DISTRIBUTED MOTION CONTROL
Agile Systems MAX3000 platform combines 1-4 axis of digital servo amplifiers with DSP motion control, and serial network in the smallest form factor possible for truly distributed motion control applications. The MAX3000 is typically installed inside the machine and robot housing to reduce wiring and improve performance. For high performance multi-axis applications Agile combines a 3rd order interpolation and Firewire communication to synchronize and spline position and velocity setpoints. By adding both capabilities simultaneously, Agile has provided an ideal solution for advanced robotic applications requiring host based kinematic calculations. Built around Agile's DigitalPowerTM Block technology the MAX3000 is a modular architecture that allows the user to preselect the voltage and current to match the desired motor requirements. A 400W, 3 phase digitalPowerTM Block is 1.5'x 2' . A 4 axis MAX3000 that is capable of driving 4, 400W brushless motors is 3.4' x 5.3' including Firewire communication and 3rd order interpolation.
