Agile Systems Inc., a leader in design, development and manufacturing of electronic sub-systems and Power ICs for conversion, motor control and motion control applications, announced today a new single chip analog and digital power IC targeted to power conversion and power management applications.

The Agile Power IC technology is applicable to multiple markets including portable electronics, industrial, white goods, office, automotive and medical where it enables power and control electronics to be significantly smaller with increased efficiency, leading to a reduced overall system cost. In addition, this Power IC technology is utilized as a key element of Agile's digitalPOWERTM family of blocks, drives, amplifiers and distributed control products

Agile will utilize this IC technology with custom designs for OEMs as well as a standard product line for motor and drive control.

Agile's Power ICs combine a proprietary CMOS, DMOS process to integrate power devices and low voltage CMOS circuits on the same IC. Utilizing this capability, Agile is able to combine multiple power interface circuits to reduce size and simplify design by creating a standard digitalPOWERTM interface.
