IP-PAVILION SHOWCASES GROWING NUMBER OF NETWORK-ENABLED PRODUCTS AVAILABLE TO THE HOME NETWORK MARKET
27 February 2003 - Lantronix

Lantronix, Inc. (Nasdaq: LTRX) is proud to announce that the company is co-sponsoring with Microsoft and CompUSA the 'IP-Pavilion' (booth #385) at the Electronic House Expo presented by EH Publishing in Orlando from February 27th through March 1st. Lantronix will demonstrate its award-winning Premise Home Control Software in the pavilion alongside many of the industry's leading home networking device manufacturers.

'The breadth of innovations coming to the home network market will be connected and controlled over a TCP/IP Ethernet network,' said Dan Quigley, executive vice president and general manager of Lantronix' Applications Division. 'Device manufacturers are realizing that installer/integrators and consumers want to effectively and inexpensively leverage home networks to control the major subsystems in the home, including consumer electronics devices, appliances, security systems and cameras, and more.'

The IP-Pavilion showcases many of these innovations. For example, Visteon Corporation's network-enabled concept vehicle demonstrates the benefits of integrating an automobile's onboard systems with the Internet and a home network. The vehicle's dashboard control panel will activate thermostats, networked security cameras, lighting and consumer audio/video gear installed in a mock home that is built next to the vehicle. Also, the concept vehicle uses a fingerprint reader to identify and download the appropriate user preferences, personal schedules and digital media for a specific person, based on pre-programmed profiles in the system. The vehicle and its corresponding mock home will be surrounded by partner-sponsored kiosks demonstrating IP-enabled products and technology.

Lantronix will offer one-on-one demonstrations of its automation software platform, Premise Home Control Software with SYS Technology at its kiosk within the IP Pavillion. These demonstrations will address the professional installer/integrators' needs for an easy-to-configure, software automation platform that is based on mainstream PC standards, providing low-cost yet flexible and sophisticated solutions for their customers.
In addition to the Lantronix and Visteon demonstrations, other partner kiosks will include Microsoft, SONICblue, Integra, UIC and Icebox.

Electronic House Expo is the leading trade show and conference of the $15 billion connected home industry. Held twice annually, the EHX trade show floor and conference program provide an invaluable forum for information exchange, education and new product demonstrations from leading manufacturers and service providers across the entire connected home spectrum of home networking, automation, entertainment, and security. EHX, produced by EH Events & Education and sponsored by CEA, is the only event to unite such a broad, quality audience of connected home professionals under one roof.
