BRIAN LIPKE IS ELECTED TO BOARD OF DIRECTORS

| Moog Inc. announced today that Brian J. Lipke, Chairman and C.E.O. of Gibraltar, has been elected to the Company's Board of Directors. Gibraltar is a leading metal processor and manufacturer of building products, and the second largest commercial heat treater in North America. Gibraltar is traded on the NASDAQ (ROCK) and, like Moog, is headquartered in Western New York. Gibraltar's initial public offering occurred in 1993 and, since that time, through a series of acquisitions, joint ventures, and investments in new facilities, the company has extended its operations to 54 locations in 20 states, Canada and Mexico. |

In addition to his role as Chairman and C.E.O. of Gibraltar, Mr. Lipke is a Director of the Merchants Mutual Insurance Company. 'The challenges that Brian and his team face at Gibraltar are remarkably similar to those we experience at Moog,' said R. T. Brady, Chairman and C.E.O. 'We're confident that Brian will bring energy, insight, and a Buffalo-Niagara perspective to the deliberations of our Board.' Mr. Lipke attended both SUNY College of Technology at Alfred and the University of Akron in Ohio. He and his wife, Deborah, live in Derby, New York, with their two daughters.
