Moog Inc. announced today that it has released a new website at http://www.servovalve.com Constructed as a complement to Moog's original website the new site functions as a portal to a state-of-the-art engineering knowledge base. The portal combines Moog's published technical bulletins and articles with direct links to other complementary sites where information helpful in designing high performance actuation systems can be found. The design of actuation systems can be greatly facilitated by the use of technical papers, technical references, links related to technical information, links to companies with complementary products, related products, application notes, auxiliary equipment and links to http://www.moog.com. Moog's expectations are for this site to become the industry's point of reference for control system technology and invites researchers, manufacturers, and designers to suggest additional references to be posted on servovalve.com. Advanced functionality of the site initially includes a 'servovalve assistant', allowing users to select a servovalve from flow rate criteria. In addition, a direct e-mail link to Moog's engineering staff provides users the opportunity to pose individual questions. Additional design capability will be added to the site in the future. 'For fifty years, Moog has solved the world's most difficult engineering problems,' said R.T. Brady, Chairman and CEO. 'The launch of this interactive site provides a facile way to communicate with control actuation designers on a worldwide basis.' Moog Inc. is a worldwide manufacturer of precision control components and systems. Moog's high-performance actuation products control military and commercial aircraft, satellites and space vehicles, launch vehicles, missiles and automated industrial machinery.
