'Throughout our history, Moog has sought to be the world's best supplier of flight control actuation,' said R. T. Brady, Chairman and CEO. 'An award like this from Boeing is rewarding recognition that we're making good progress.'

Boeing, the world's largest manufacturer of commercial airplanes, initiated the annual awards program in1988 to recognize outstanding suppliers. Recipients are nominated based on product quality, cost, delivery and technical excellence. Moog was one of 13 companies to receive the award for 1999.

Alan Mulally, President of Boeing Commercial Airplanes Group, praised the suppliers for their support of Boeing business goals and their ability to add value to Boeing products to better satisfy airline customers.

'Boeing commends Moog for being a customer-focused company that embraces Boeing initiatives,' added Tom Haley, Boeing procurement director. 'A supplier of flight control actuation, Moog initiated a major engineering program in 1999 to cut product development time in half. They continue to deliver an outstanding product on schedule at a competitive price.'

Moog Inc. is a worldwide manufacturer of precision control components and systems. Moog's high-performance actuation products control military and commercial aircraft, satellites and space vehicles, launch vehicles, missiles and automated industrial machinery.
