BOMBARDIER CONTRACT WON BY MOOG

Moog Inc. announced today that Bombardier, the third largest builder of commercial aircraft in the world and the world's leader in business jets and regional airliners, has awarded Moog's Aircraft Group the contract for the flight control actuation system and associated electronics on Bombardier's new Continental Business Jet BD-100 program. Mechanical actuation for the aircraft will be produced by Moog's Montek operations in Salt Lake City and includes the spoiler system and horizontal stabilizer trim system. Montek will also supply other controls including the pitch feel simulator and rudder trim actuators. Hydraulic actuation will be produced in Moog's East Aurora facility and includes the hydraulic elevator and rudder power control units. 'This contract is a perfect example of the synergies we expected when we bought Montek,' said R.T Brady, Chairman and CEO. 'We won the award because we were able to offer a package of our combined capabilities for this new jet. The award is also a reflection of our strong relationship with Bombardier as well as our commitment to the business and regional jet market.'
