Echternach, Luxembourg – GE Fanuc, the world leader in CNC technology, has introduced a version of its easy-to-use, interactive, shop floor programming software which offers enhanced productivity in entry-level turning applications. GE Fanuc Turn Mate i can be used on GE Fanuc 0i-TC and 0i Mate-TC Series CNCs, enabling the operator to rapidly develop part programs. It will handle drilling, roughing, finishing, threading and grooving cycles. It allows the operator to carry out conversational-style programming of machining cycles with automatic or manual in-feeding, including limiting the machined areas via hand wheels or a JOG switch. Turning is made simple by the easy-to-use touchscreen LCD display. This provides concurrent information such as machine status, axial positions, spindle speeds, feed-rates and tool number, and a graphic of the current cycle in one screen. The ultra-compact 0i-TC and 0i Mate-TC Series CNCs offer excellent price/performance solutions for the automated control of entry-level machine tools. The CNC used with Turn Mate i is integrated into the 7.2' monochrome LCD display. The depth of the complete unit is just 70mm, making it ideal for the automation of compact machine tools. The Turn Mate i solution includes the Series 0i-TC or Series 0i Mate-TC CNC used in conjunction with GE Fanuc Beta i Series servo and spindle motors. Offering a wide choice of models, GE Fanuc motors are recognised worldwide for their high reliability.
