The reputation of FANUC CNCs for the world's highest reliability and ease-of-use has played a major part in their success. The latest Series 30i CNC controls up to 40 axes, 24 simultaneously, the world's highest number of axes on a single CNC controller – and is able to execute up to 10 different CNC programs simultaneously. FANUC became the first in the industry to produce AC servo motors in 1982. The models between 1kW and 5kW are used in machine tools and industrial robots. Because of their excellent speed, precision and reliability, they are used in approximately 55% of the world's machine tools. Recently, there has been a rapid increase in shipment of medium to large AC servo motors, between 5kW and 100kW, for injection moulding machines. With their excellent energy-saving capabilities, new areas of application include large press machines. FANUC Robotics Europe continues to experience strong demand for robot automation. With more than 2,000 customers in Europe, the company has increased its business by nearly 250% during the past seven years. By the end of 2003, FANUC Robotics had more than 23,000 robots installed at automotive and other industrial customers in Europe. There has also been a significant expansion of the FANUC Robotics' product line. Today, the company offers the widest range of products available from any robot vendor in the world, from sophisticated robots for painting cars and trucks, to small table-top robots for assembly and material handling applications, and just about every size in between. Everything revolves around absolute dedication to product reliability and customer service. Product reliability is the number one priority, as customer feedback clearly demands. FANUC robots provide uptimes of 99.9 %. GE Fanuc Automation is a leading global supplier in factory automation.
