As of 1 March 2004 Kristian Pedersen is appointed General Manager for NNET. Kristian Pedersen has been expatriated from NNE to China since 1998 and worked within project management and electrical coordination. NNET was originally established with the purpose of building factories for Novo companies. In recent years NNET has primarily serviced Novozymes, but all projects will be completed by the end of February. Therefore, NNET today has more focus on delivering engineering services to the growing pharmaceutical and biotech industry in the region, including helping foreign companies establish themselves in China. At the same time NNET will function as a low cost engineering center for NNE's global projects and in general act as link between NNE A/S and the Chinese market. NNET has so far rented offices at the Novozymes site in Tianjin, but now it will be necessary to find new premises, when the Novozymes projects have been completed. To begin with NNET has one expatriated NNE employee and four local employees.
