Nyquist is increasing its commitment to the US OEM machinebuilding market in general and the semiconductor and medical markets in particular. Therefore, Nyquist is pleased to announce that Mr. Kevin Steele and Nyquist have decided to work together. Mr. Steele is a US citizen and lives in Santa Barbara, California. He will be consulting for Nyquist while a US infrastructure is set up. This is the first step in Nyquist's commitment and further steps will follow soon.

There were good reasons for both parties to come together: Mr. Steele has great experience in Motion Control since he worked in this market for more than 15 years. He was the first engineer with MEI and after ten years with MEI, he moved to Agile as VP Sales. His strong technical background and sales/marketing experiences with OEMs are great assets.

Kevin Steele about the cooperation: 'I see Nyquist's new NYCe4000 motion control platform as the ultimate total motion control solution for high performance applications and modular systems. A compact, integrated form factor, custom breakouts, superb motion control and I/O performance and comprehensive software tools provide the ideal package. Moreover it is designed for flexibility and serviceability with the OEM's supply chain and total cost of ownership in mind. I'm excited to introduce this flexible and powerful solution to the US OEM market at Semicon West.' Nyquist will be demonstrating the NYCe4000 in the South Hall, booth 2944.

Hans ten Hagen, Nyquist's Sales and Marketing Director, commented, 'Nyquist will be increasing its presence in the US market to better serve the needs of its customers. Together with Mr. Steele, all other Nyquist employees will be at your service. This is Nyquist's commitment to the US market in general and to the semiconductor and medical markets in particular. We are looking forward to working with you!'

About: Nyquist Industrial Control
Nyquist has a long and rich history. A history that goes back to the beginning of the early seventies, when the company was still part of Philips. Since then, the organisation has played a pioneering role in the field of high-quality Motion Control systems, VME and PLC machine control platforms.

The foundations for the present-day company Nyquist Industrial Control were paved in the seventies. This happened when the first standardised servo system was developed, initially created for Philips' internal machine building. This led to a large international installed base, both within and outside of our own organisation. For instance, the doors of the Dutch Railways' trains are still fitted with VME-based control systems from Nyquist. And then just think of all the automatically opening bridges, traction systems, trams, machines for making glass moulds, embroidering machinery, pastry-making machines, ships' terminals, incinerators and water purification plants.
