Omniflex introduce the universal signal conditioner, after years of experience in the signal conditioning market, combining as many different signal conditioners in a signal unit as possible. 'Down Time' is a major reason for loss of revenue on a plant, so to ensure minimal down time, the spares holding goes up. Sounds well and good but in practice keeping spare units of everything in stock, means a significant investment in stock holding. Holding spares actually costs money too! A fact Omniflex has been keenly aware of. Omniflex introduced the universal signal conditioner after years of experience in the signal conditioning market. Combining as many different signal conditioners in a signal unit as possible was the goal. The result: the Omniterm B Series TxB. What Inputs does the TxB handle? Thermocouple, milli-Volts, Voltage, Current, RTD, just programme the range from a PC via the programme port and a significant number of your critical spares are replaced by a single unit. What Output does the tXB handle? Voltage, Current, Bi-polar outputs and a Pulse Output. We also incorporated most of the special ranges we have done over the years with old fashioned dedicated units. In one plant alone Omniflex will reduce inventory by 75%. Just think of large temperature monitoring applications with a temperature transmitter for every different range, all replaced by a single unit. In 2 Minutes a new TxB is programmed and ready to go into service, and a TxB can be configured in situ where required.
