TOTAL RADIOLOGICAL MONITORING SYSTEMS
03 April 2003 - Omniflex

BNFL and AEA in the UK have installed cost effective Omniflex radiological monitoring systems to collect data from their Harwell or Labimpex monitors for processing by plant SCADA systems.

These systems enable data from their Harwell or Labimpex Alpha, Beta and Gamma monitors located anywhere within buildings or around larger site areas to be monitored by plant SCADA systems as well as providing real-time alarm management and building evacuation logic systems. Omniflex can provide the 'Total Solution'.

By using our well-proven Maxiflex distributed I/O system Omniflex can monitor the high speed RS422 pulsed signals and alarms from the Harwell 3230, 3280 range of Alpha Beta Monitors. We can monitor the Harwell AB96 or G64 Alpha/Beta and Gamma monitors and the Labimpex CMS2000 Alpha, Beta and Gamma monitors via RS232/485 communications enabling multiple monitors to be linked on a single network.

The Maxiflex I/O system also provides interfacing to all SCADA systems via Modbus, Ethernet, Conet (any grade of 2-core cable up to 10kms without repeaters) and radio.
