DISTRIBUTION AGREEMENT EXPANDS RELAY RANGE TO INCLUDE AUTOMOTIVE AND SOLID STATE PRODUCTS

In a move that expands its range of relay products, specialist distributor Switchtec has entered a working agreement with China's leading relay manufacturer Hongfa. The wide range of relays from Hongfa gives Switchtec scope to achieve greater market penetration into all areas of the relay market. As such, the Hongfa range from Switchtec will sit alongside and complement the ranges already on offer via its existing suppliers.

Presently operating as the main distributor for Hongfa in the UK, Switchtec actively promotes its brands and together with the company's focus, background and experience, it expects the relationship with Hongfa to develop into a strong partnership.

Hongfa produces 250 million relays each year and has a quality policy that states simply, 'To provide our customers with the best quality products and services'. As high quality relays the Hongfa products from Switchtec will offer its customers greater reliability and confidence.

As a major producer, Hongfa operates very cost effective production lines and Switchtec will be able to offer its customers very competitive prices compared to other distributors. Additionally, the Hongfa range includes relays for use in the growing automotive market, and Switchtec are working hard to capitalise on this capability. Switchtec will also be promoting Hongfa's extensive solid-state range of relays.

Delivery times from Switchtec for Hongfa relays will be first class. Says Switchtec's General Manager Steve Pounder, 'We have been working with Hongfa for some time now, and their lead times are excellent. We will carry stocks of the most popular relays, but in any case lead times can be as low as five weeks from Hongfa, whereas ten to twelve weeks is more normal from far east manufacturers.'
