Reducing design and manufacturing time, Switchtec's Relay Interface Modules enable OEMs and panel builders to fit and install up to 16 relays with one easy to install unit. The RIMs offer manufacturers greater flexibility and speed of installation compared to installing and wiring 16 individual relays. An industry standard product, Switchtec's RIMs are available in 12/24VDC, and 24/110/240VAC versions. Featuring HE10/10 and D type connectors, Switchtec's RIMs are more versatile than competitors' units, making it quick and easy to make or break connections for build and maintenance purposes. LED status indication of relays is provided and all units have common rail indication to show if +DC, -DC or AC voltages exist on the common rail. To minimise electrical interference, all DC voltage units have diode suppressors fitted across the relay coils. Unlike some competitor's 'AC' units that utilise a bridge rectifier and DC coils, all AC voltage units have AC coil relays fitted to minimise contact bounce. The RIMs have an output contact rating of 12A at 250VAC or 30VDC, and for longevity, output contact materials are AgCdO. Switchtec's RIMs mount on top hat or G style DIN rails and are available in4, 8, and 16 way variants. Exhibiting versatility, the units are specified to operate over a temperature range of -30°C to +55°C.
