PLUG-IN CONNECTOR RANGE INCLUDES NEW 3.5 AND 3.81MM VERSIONS

Specialist OEM distributor Switchtec has expanded its product portfolio with the addition of 3.5 and 3.81mm pitch 2 part plug-in PCB connectors manufactured by Euroclamp SpA. These interconnection products represent a range extension to the company's well-established 5.00, 5.08, 7.5, 10.0 and 10.16mm pitch plug-in terminal blocks and PCB mount headers. They have been launched in response to market demands for a more compact screw terminal connector.

Covering 2 to 24 ways, the new 3.5 and 3.81mm pitch ranges include vertical and horizontal rising cage clamp type PCB connectors which have rifled inners to ensure reliable cable retention. As with the rest of the existing Euroclamp range, the bodies are manufactured from self-extinguishing PA68 insulating polymer that have an upper working temperature of 125ºC. Tin-plated PCB pins ensure reliable solderability. The screws are galvanized steel and are subjected to a casehardening in order to increase torque.

The new 3.5 and 3.81 connectors complement Euroclamp's extensive ranges of electrical connector products, which conform to a wide range of international standards and are available in the UK through Switchtec under an exclusive license agreement.
