HARTING INTRODUCE A D-SUB MODULE FOR INDUSTRIAL CONNECTOR SYSTEM
30 October 2003 - Harting
| Harting has introduced a 9-pin D-Sub connector module to its Han-Modular family of industrial connectors. Integrating a D-Sub connector with the industrial Han-Modular system is particularly useful in situations where sensitive bus signals are present. The D-Sub shielding is connected independently of the industrial connector housing, ensuring a high degree of screening. |
The module accommodates most standard 9-way D-Sub connectors with solder, crimp or insulation-displacement terminations. It is also suitable for 15-way high-density D-Sub products, and provides a PROFIbus-compatible interface. When the module is used in a single-module Han-Modular housing, a protection rating of IP65 is achieved, providing a real benefit over standard D-Sub products in situations where connections are made in mechanically and electrically hazardous industrial environments.
