UK-based antenna manufacturer Sarantel has selected ACAL Nederland bv in Eindhoven to increase the design-in support provided to Dutch GPS system developers. Sarantel anticipates that ACAL will accelerate time to market for customers and as a result deliver more high-performing antenna solutions for GPS users in Europe. ACAL will assist with the design-in process of Sarantel's market leading GeoHelix GPS antenna technology, providing sales and engineering support directly to designers and developers of GPS receiver and handset applications. The move follows Sarantel's distributor appointments elsewhere in the world and responds directly to a particularly high concentration of GPS technology developments in the region. Stefan van Lanen, product manager for ACAL said, "We are looking forward representing Sarantel, and its innovative and high performance GPS antenna solution. It will make ACAL even more successful with GPS designs and able to deliver a great combination of GPS modules and the best available antennas." Sarantel's European sales manager Alan Spencer adds, "Over the last year we've had some really innovative GPS applications developed in the Lowlands. ACAL has a really solid reputation in the industry and will provide a great resource to Sarantel's customers." The agreement is effective immediately and will see ACAL operating with customers of all sizes from start-ups to major OEMs and ODMs in the Netherlands.
