Engineering software has to make a vital contribution in terms of saving money during commissioning or reducing training requirements. With its self-explanatory graphical user interface, the L-force Engineer is paving the way for use even by those without expert knowledge to commission drive controllers. It even does away with the need for laborious programming.

The engineering software has been designed specifically to meet practical needs. The flexibility of structure of the L-force Engineer enables users to configure the view of their machines in accordance with individual requirements. A project tree makes navigation quick and easy. In order to maximise practical benefits, the L-force Engineer underwent two usability tests prior to the field testing. The results of these tests were reflected in the final released version.

The ingenious graphical user interface simplifies parameter setting considerably and means that users no longer have to fiddle with endless parameter sets. The connection editor provides a user-friendly means of configuring the communication parameters of the new L-force 9400 Servo Drives, as well as the decentralised I/O system, in graphics format. Engineering is quicker, resulting in cost savings.
