After rigorous testing by General Motors Corporation of the X$D Ultra IEEE 841 motors submitted for testing, GM determined that the GE X$D Ultra IEEE 841 motors meet the Electrical Equipment Specification 7E-TA, thereby approving GE for applications requiring adherence to this specification. |
GE Industrial Systems is proud to announce another significant accomplishment for its newest industrial product line, the premium efficiency X$D Ultra? 841 motor. After rigorous testing by General Motors Corporation of the X$D Ultra IEEE 841 motors submitted for testing, GM determined that the GE X$D Ultra IEEE 841 motors meet the Electrical Equipment Specification 7E-TA, thereby approving GE for applications requiring adherence to this specification. GE will begin immediately nameplating its X$D Ultra IEEE 841 motors with 'Meets GM 7E-TA.' According to Brad Quick, Ultra business leader, 'A variety of criteria including rough efficiency, vibration, torque, current and sound tests were used to judge the motors qualifications. In all motors tested, GE exceeded published performance.' The X$D Ultra motor delivers key features to its industrial motor owners including Premium Efficiency - X$D Ultra is a leader in efficiency; Low Vibration - X$D Ultra has the lowest name-plated levels; Drive Compatibility - X$D Ultra is fully compatible including a simple modification for close loop applications and Improved Life Cycle Cost - X$D Ultra is the value leader. The design of the X$D Ultra industrial motor integrated over 100 years of GE experience in design and manufacturing excellence and used the Six Sigma process to enhance the quality of this product.
