FURTHER STRENGTHENS EMEA TEAM TO PROVIDE ADDED FOCUS ON A KEY MARKET

LynuxWorks Inc. today announced it had appointed Jürgen Fimpel as Sales Manager for Germany. In his new role, Fimpel will be responsible for business development, customer and distributor relations for all LynuxWorks products.

"Jürgen's experience and local market knowledge will be a great asset to the LynuxWorks team in Europe" said Hamid Mirab, Managing Director for LynuxWorks EMEA. "Germany is recognised as a centre for system design in Europe, so it is vital for us to provide our customers and partners there with locally based expertise to assist with the selection and on going support of the best operating system and development tools for their projects."

Fimpel brings to the role over twenty years experience of the embedded computing market gained in a variety of roles within Motorola Computer Systems. Most recently as MCG Account Manager for Siemens Europe and Alcatel in both Germany and Italy where he concentrated on major projects deploying Advanced Telecom Computing Architecture and CompactPCI based solutions.
