POWER CONTROLS LAUNCHES SOLUTION PLUS FOR SIMPLER LOW VOLTAGE ELECTRICAL PROTECTION AND PEACE OF MIND
07 April 2003 - GE Industrial Systems

GE Power Controls has introduced the Solution Plus system-a complete solution for low voltage distribution including breakers, enclosures, personal protection, and system monitoring and control. The Solutions Plus system integrates a series of new products including Elfa Plusä, Record Plusä, Modula Plus, GEA Plus, and M-Pact Plus. Traditionally, electricians and installers have had to purchase each of these components individually and manually integrate them, spending time, money, and effort to patch together a solution.

With Solution Plus, electricians have a 'plug and play' system with components designed together from the start-a system that requires little assembly, is easy to install, user friendly, and is most importantly, safe and reliable.

In addition to creating Solution Plus, GE has further improved quality and upgraded the existing component range. Modula Plus is offered in kit-form consisting of sheet steel floor standing enclosures, busbar systems and a wide range of functional units prepared to mount all kind of low voltage devices offered by GE Power Controls. GEA Plus contains a comprehensive range of incomers, with air circuit breakers, switched fuses, isolators and molded case circuit breakers and outgoing columns for power distribution, control or mixed applications. Record Plus combines the ultimate in current limiting properties with full selectivity, presenting revolutionary design equipped with dual contacts placed in a rotary configuration that provides the highest available interruption ratings in the smallest possible size.

Not only is Solution Plus an innovative product, but its development represents an innovative process as well. GE designed two new greenfield manufacturing plants in Europe to develop the solution concept, investing in state-of-the art factories, for state-of the art products while utilizing a rigorous six sigma design approach. These products cover the full range of your electrical distribution requirement including residential, industrial, and commercial applications and are available in all IEC countries. GE is continuously innovating to create global platforms for all your low voltage electrical applications.
