Deliveries are scheduled to begin in 2009 and will run through approximately 2018. | Comanche Impact on Moog |
24 February 2004 - Moog Controls Moog Inc. announced today that the cancellation of the Comanche program would have minimal impact on its financial results. Sales to date in fiscal '04 for Comanche were approximately $2 million. Sales from the program for the balance of the year were previously forecast to be less than $4 million, or less than half a percent of Moog's total sales. The company has termination clauses in its contracts for the program which will be activated if the Congress carries through on the cancellation. |

20 November 2002 - Moog Controls Moog Inc. announced today that it has received its second contract of several that are expected to total more than $140 million for the System Development and Demonstration Phase of the F-35 Joint Strike Fighter. In this contract, BAE Systems has signed an agreement with the company for a wingfold actuation system with a value of $9.5 million. The contract calls for non-recurring engineering, data, qualification, support, and five shipsets of flight test hardware. Delivery of this hardware will be in 2005. |

Located near Nagoya, Japan, TSS was founded in 1953 and is a manufacturer of high-performance servovalves, hydraulic systems, and pneumatic components. While the company's market is predominantly in Japan, it also exports to the United States and other countries. Sales for TSS for the latest 12 months were about $8 million. |

07 February 2002 - Moog Controls Jay began his career at Moog in 1979 working first in the Aerospace Group as a test technician. He soon became a sales engineer in the Industrial Group and then Marketing Manager for radio controls. In the early '90s, he was made Director of Sales and Programs for the Space Products Division. In 1997, Jay became General Manager of Moog's Chatsworth Operations in California, a facility that designs and manufactures high-performance satellite mechanisms. Recently, he returned to East Aurora as General Manager of the Space Systems Group, the position he holds today. In addition, he is a member of Leadership Buffalo's Class of 2002. A graduate of Buffalo State, State University of New York, Jay holds a Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering technology. He and Kati, his wife, live in East Aurora with their two children. |

26 October 2001 - Moog Controls Moog Inc. announced today that it has acquired the assets associated with the Satellite and Space Vehicle product lines of the Electro Systems Division of Tecstar, Inc. Tecstar's Electro Systems Division, headquartered in Durham, North Carolina, is a manufacturer of electromechanical equipment for aircraft and spacecraft. ESD was formed in 1941 as a division of the Sperry Corporation. It later became part of Honeywell, Inc., and in 1996 was sold to Tecstar. In the late 60's, as a division of Honeywell, ESD entered the market for space products as a producer of antenna pointing mechanisms and solar array subsystems. Today, ESD has strong customer relationships with Honeywell, Boeing (formerly Hughes), Lockheed Martin, Orbital Sciences, and the Kodak Corporation. The products closely parallel those of Moog's Chatsworth, California, operations. As a result, there are natural opportunities for achieving substantial synergy. Moog will take on the key members of Tecstar's technical staff, but over the next six months, the production of the ESD product line will transfer from Durham to Moog's facility in Chatsworth. |

13 June 2001 - Moog Controls Moog Inc. announced today that the company closed on an acquisition from PerkinElmer Fluid Sciences of the principal assets associated with their Space Valve Product Line, formerly known as Wright Components. The business has annual sales of $3 million in the design and manufacture of solenoid and pressure operated valves for satellites, launch vehicles and manned space flight applications. This is a well-established product line, particularly with manufacturers of thrusters for satellite propulsion, one of Moog's major market concentrations.

25 February 2000 - Moog Controls Marty began his career at Moog in 1980 working first in the Aerospace Sales Group and then in Motion Systems. He became a sales manager in the Space Products Division and then in Electronics and Systems. In 1993, he became General Manager of Moog GmBH in Germany. He returned to the United States in 1996 as General Manager of Moog's Industrial Controls segment, a position he holds today. He also serves as Chairman of the Board for Moog's Hydrolux business in the United States and Luxembourg. Marty is a graduate of Canisius College and holds an MBA from St. Bonaventure University. He and Sarah, his wife, reside in Elma with their two children.
