09 January 2002 - Invensys plc Invensys plc announced the sale of the Integral Horsepower Motor ('IHP') Division of Brook Crompton to Lindeteves-Jacoberg of Singapore for £17 million. Consideration of £17 million includes £10 million to be paid in cash and £7 million of debt to be transferred with the business. Brook Crompton manufactures low voltage AC and DC electric motors with a power range up to 750 kW. Its motors are used in many applications including extraction fans, cranes, elevators and ski lifts. |

The OnStar at Home pilot will enable homeowners to remotely manage household activities such as locking and unlocking doors; operating the security system, thermostats, and lights; and viewing the home's interior via a Web cam. | Invensys sells Energy Storage for $505 million |
07 January 2002 - Invensys plc Invensys plc, ('Invensys') announces today the sale of its Energy Storage Group ('ESG') to EnerSys, Inc. ('EnerSys') for a cash consideration of $505 million. In addition, Invensys will be issued warrants that, if exercised, may give Invensys up to a 28% equity stake in the enlarged company. EnerSys, an industrial batteries supplier, is a private company controlled by Morgan Stanley Capital Partners IV, L.P. ('MSCP'). The transaction incorporates an agreement governing the ongoing supply of batteries by the enlarged EnerSys to Invensys. Completion is subject to regulatory approval, in particular in US, France (see below) and China, and the receipt of financing by EnerSys, and is currently expected to be in March 2002. |
